Reference:
ZAO Saratovski aviation plant is a long-standing partner of Gazprom.
At present, the flying stock of Gazpromavia includes 6 aircrafts of the Yak-42D version. However, the flying and technical characteristics of Yak-42D do not meet the needs of Gazprom in full, specifically the flying range under standard commercial load.
Designing work on the Yak-42D-100 modification assumes equipment of the aircraft with a modern optimum wing and upgraded engines. These measures will enable to increase velocity, altitude and range of flight, will ensure taking-off and landing at the ground runways with upgraded cover. Elaboration of the Yak-42D-100 aircraft design has been completed and the project has been prepared for commercial manufacture. The first aircraft of this modification is expected to be produced in 2007-2008.
