Moscow. 5 November. The Interregional Sectoral Association of Employers in the Energy Industry (MOORE) has been established on the initiative of RAO "UES of Russia" to ensure coordination of employers' policies in the electricity industry with respect to regulation of social and labour issues, as well as related economic relations. The Association will also represent and protect employers' interests in their relations with trade unions and their associations, the state and local authorities.
The Association was established pursuant to the Labour Code of the Russian Federation, the Federal Law of the Russian Federation "On Associations of Employers", and the resolution of the Board of Directors of RAO "UES of Russia" of 25 April 2003. Besides RAO "UES of Russia", other founders of the Association are OAO "Berezovskaya TPP-1" and Non-government pension fund of the electricity industry.
Admission of electricity industry entities into the Association is expected to start in the near future. According to RAO UES Media Relations Department, MOORE is an open organization, which means that any entity may join provided that its operations are related to the power industry.
The Interregional Association will soon be transformed into the All-Russian Power Industry Employers Association. This will enable the Association to negotiate the industrial tariff agreement in the electricity sector and represent the industry's employers at the federal level.
