MMK produces metal for Aurus cars

Today, Pavel Shilyaev, CEO of Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK), took part in the Aurus car plant opening ceremony in the special economic zone (SEZ) of Alabuga in the Republic of Tatarstan.

MMK is the only supplier of domestic rolled steel to Aurus, Russia's first premium car brand.

Technical support work for Aurus began back in 2015. In the same year, MMK shipped its first batch of rolled steel to the carmaker, from which prototype parts for the bodies of the Senat and Limousine models were manufactured.

In 2019-2020, MMK shipped an industrial shipment of rolled steel to Aurus, designed for die setting and finishing, as well as for the manufacture of internal and external body parts.

The coordinated work of MMK's technical and production divisions has once again proven the Company’s high level of expertise and ability to produce rolled steel that meets the highest consumer standards.
