From September 20 to 24 , XVI International competitions of professional skills of personnel of the power industry of CIS members-states - International competition of teams on repair and maintenance of 10/0,4 kV distribution grids will be held in Kyzylorda (Republic of Kazakhstan).

8 teams from the Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, Georgia, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republics of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan will compete for the right to be called the best power engineers of the CIS. The team of Rosseti PJSC, represented by a subsidiary of Rosseti Volga (brand of IDGC of Volga, PJSC) will perform on behalf of the Russian Federation. The title of the best power engineers of Russia and the opportunity to defend the honor of the country at International competitions deservedly went to the representatives of Roseti Volga on the basis of All-Russian Competition of Professional Skills of the Rosseti Group.

The teams will demonstrate their skills at 7 stages, which include not only theoretical knowledge, but also practical work – replacement of the 10 kV bushing insulator with the 10/0.4 kV urban package transformer substation (UPTS), maintenance of the disconnector on the 10 kV OPL support using a hydraulic lift, replacement of the defective insulator at the anchor-corner reinforced concrete support. Stages of competition also include fire extinguishing on 10/0, 4 kV UPTS and release of the victim from action of an electric current and first aid treatment to him. Particular attention will be paid to strict compliance with the rules of labor protection and safe work, application of new techniques and technologies. All teams have already passed the mandate commission and conducted introductory training with the stages. After the draw, the schedule of the teams will be determined by stages.
