Production departments (PD) of Chuvashenergo — a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies) — obtained Certificates confirming their preparedness for operations in autumn-winter (OAW) 2016–2017. The certificates were handed in to heads of the production departments by Dmitry Ivanov, Director of Chuvashenergo and Deputy Director of IDGC of Volga, PJSC.
Successful completion of scheduled repair works is a key to ensuring a high level of preparedness for operations during the autumn-winter period. This year, specialists of Chuvashenergo have already completed repair operations on the 0/4-10 kV overhead transmission lines with the total length of 633.92 km and on the 35-110 kV overhead transmission lines with the total length of 211.383 km. In addition, power sector specialists have completed repair works at 456 transformer substations and capital repair works at 22 substations of 110/35/6-10 kV, including 14 substations that underwent overall repairs. Repair operations successfully completed at 35-110 kV substations including repair of two hundred and thirty nine 6-110 kV switches, 93 isolating and short-circuiting switches, and 177 disconnectors, plus replacement of 425 armored stick-pedestal insulators. Vegetation management activities (VMA) and extension of transmission line corridors covered the area of 579 ha were conducted during this repair campaign.
Chuvashenergo branch has also passed final inspection to acknowledge its preparedness for the upcoming peak demand period. Soon they will be granted the Certificate confirming their preparedness for operations in autumn-winter 2016–2017. The repair operations are carried out to ensure appropriate safety of electrical equipment, provision of uninterrupted power supply for consumers in the Chuvash Republic, and prevention of faults and failures of electrical installations.
