Ulyanovsk Distribution Grids, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC, has completed a capital overhaul of equipment at 110/10 kV Tagay substation and 35/6 kV Zhdamirovo substation. Both substations are located near settlements of the Surskiy and Maynskiy districts that are the most outer locations. During the month, power engineers have performed a variety of works including repair of power transformers, construction of a new oil header, inspection of switching equipment, restoration of fencing at the power facility, installation of HF-stoppers with the use of V-suspension, etc. Power engineers have also performed a number of tests and measurements on the equipment according to the requirements and standards. Zhdamirovo substation commissioned in 1971 is a key power supply unit for several settlements with population of about 2 thousand people located at the west skirt of the Ulyanovsk region. Despite that these settlements are underpopulated, Ulyanovsk branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC, being a socially responsible organization, makes its best efforts to ensure reliable power supply to the consumers. Presently, the branch has repaired 23 major 35 kV and 110 kV substations and 370 10/0.4 kV batch transformer substations.
