On February 25, 2005 ALROSA announced results of the 6th international auction held in conjunction with the Diamond Chamber of Russia to sell special-siz?d rough diamonds. The auction began its work on January 17.

37 Russian and foreign companies of high business reputation from the USA, India, Israel, Belgium, Belarus specialized in large diamonds participated as bidders.

The lots were available for preview on the premises of the Diamond Chamber of Russia for a month. Altogether 78 boxes (composed of 591 diamonds) with a total weight of over 10.3 thousand carats were offered for sale. These included 16 exceptionally large diamonds, each of them weighing over 50 carats. The largest of them weighed 158.58 carats.

76 boxes altogether worth over USD 16.6 million were sold.
