Vladimir Evtushenkov, the chairman of the board of directors of SISTEMA JSFC, took part in the economic forum “Regional investment policy: from experiment to practice”, which is being held on December 16 and December 17 in the city of Tambov. The forum, which was initiated and chaired by the Russian president’s plenipotentiary in the Central federal district (CFD) Georgy Poltavchenko, is taking place in Tambov for the third time.

The major objective of the forum-2002 is to discuss new ways of drawing investments in the CDF economy, to find the most effective schemes of raising the investment attractiveness of Russian regions and improving their investment reputation. Its participants are expected to consider projects of drawing funds for house building, methods of using mortgage lending and power-saving technologies. Besides the plenary session the forum’s program includes meetings in sections to discuss such issues as security market, reform of the electric power system, role of investment policy in regions’ social and economic development, transition to the investment way of development, formation of effective consumer market.

SISTEMA JSFC has been implementing a number of projects in the Tambov region, particularly in insurance, telecommunications and retail. On December 16 a division of the Detsky Mir Trading House has been inaugurated in Tambov. It has become the second store in the regional network of Detsky Mir’s group.
