OJSC Khantymansiiskokrtelecom maintained its pace of rapid earnings growth during the first two months of 2002. The Company's gross revenues stood at Rub 468.9 million, which is a 43.9% increase over the same period last year. Revenues from core activities reached Rub 396.6 mn, growing by 40.5%. To a large extent this growth was driven by an expansion of the customer base and the roll-out of new value-added services.
Over the last two months the company has added 2,886 new customers to its fixed-line and 1,422 new customers to its paging network. There were 2,054 new Internet users. New services provided include a universal number and free paging conditions.
High revenues continue for core activities, including residential services, i.e. 65.3%. While the population of this autonomous region has increased by 21,600 over the past year, the company's per capital telecom consumption is up 45.7%. In January - February, per-capita revenue generated in Yugra stood at Rub 183.8. This growth trend is reinforced by the high quality and easy access to the company's telecom services.
