This part of the implementation of the annual maintenance and repair program, power engineers of the Ulyanovsk Grids branch of Rosseti Volga (a brand of IDGC of Volga, PJSC) repair work on the equipment of distribution networks of 10-0.4 kV continues. In 2020, it is planned to repair 2,683 km of power lines and 672 complete transformer substations.

By 10-0.4 kV overhead lines, power supply is received by private households, enterprises, social institutions, garden and summer cottages throughout the region, including the most remote settlements. Low-voltage grids are the most numerous in the power grid sector and are located in close proximity to the consumer. That is why the defining criterion for the effective maintenance of power grid equipment remains not only reliability, but also the safety of facilities.

In order to successfully prepare power grids for the upcoming autumn-winter period, power engineers will replace 30.5 km of wires, 10 of which are self-supporting insulated ones. Also, 1,335 reinforced concrete supports, 1,705 insulators will be replaced, the supports are straightened, coupling fittings are replaced, and number designation and permanent designation on the supports will be restored. The cost of this work will amount to 99.23 million rubles. Despite external factors, the implementation of all planned activities within the framework of annual production programs and timely preparation of the power grid complex for the upcoming autumn-winter period in Ulyanovsk Grids continues in strict accordance with the established schedule. Particular attention is paid to carrying out repair work, minimizing the inconvenience to the residents of the region. In some cases, the use of backup power sources is provided, and a temporary change of power supply schemes in situations where it is possible.
