Today, Pavel Livinskiy, Rosseti CEO, and Rashid Temrezov, the Head of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic met in Cherkessk and discussed topical issues of the development of regional power grid.
"In many respects (including payment for electricity, level of losses) the situation in Karachay-Cherkessia has one of the most positive tendencies in the North Caucasus. And still it's not a reason to lie back, we can clearly see how to develop the power grid of the Republic further on. By 2022, we are going to reduce losses in the region to 12.4%. Such activities will cost us 0.5 billion rubles, at the same time allowing us to save almost 120 million rubles annually and use them to upgrade energy facilities," Pavel Livinskiy noted.
Rashid Temrezov said that the leadership of Karachay-Cherkessia shares a full understanding on the key issues with power engineers.
“I would like to point out that since Vitaly Ivanov occupied position of the Head of IDGC of the North Caucasus, our interaction with the power engineers had broken new ground. The first result of the work will be a ten-year agreement on social and economic cooperation between Karachay-Cherkessia and IDGC of the North Caucasus with a long-term tariff design. At the moment we are actively working on this document and hope to sign it at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum," Rashid Temrezov emphasized.
In addition, Pavel Livinskiy and Rashid Temrezov agreed to move to an active consolidation of the energy facilities of Karachay-Cherkessia on the basis of IDGC of the North Caucasus. Particular attention will be paid to ownerless power facilities, "Karachay-Cherkessia needs a single transparent, clear responsibility center for the power grid of the Republic, the one with a single technical policy and high management standards," the participants to the meeting noted.
