During the twelve months of 2001, AO MOSENERGO’s receivables decreased by 4,210,000,000 rubles. As of 2002, the company’s receivables amounted to 10,108,933,000 rubles. According to Vitaly Kuzmin, deputy general director for energy sales, cutting receivables at high rates became possible due to tough energy sales policies of the company. “Better discipline and lower receivables were and still are priority objectives in our operations,” he said.
According to preliminary 2001 results, AO MOSENERGO’s heat and electricity sales amounted to 105.3% (52,679,900,000 rubles), with electricity sales in 2001at 105.6%, and heat sales — at 104.5%. Throughout 2001, consumers paid for AO MOSENERGO’s energy supplies in cash only.
During the 12 months of 2001, AO MOSENERGO’s heat and electricity supplies to customers exceeded similar 2000 indicators by 5.5% and 3.9%, respectively.
According to 2001 results, AO MOSENERGO lowered receivables from FOREM clients (Federal Wholesale Electricity Market customers) by 26.3%, or 464.8 million rubles. Currently, this figure amounts to 1,301,000,000 rubles.
During that period, the company supplied 641.4 million kWt·hours of electricity to FOREM. For its own needs the company purchased 754.9 million kWt·hours of electricity.
