MOSCOW, 24 April 2003 – A Staropramen beer TV commercial is on air since today. The sights of ancient Prague streets, pavements and squares are followed by images of a glass and a bottle filled with beer – a traditional drink of the Czech people thanks to which Prague is considered Europe’s brewing capital. Prague has been chosen due to the fact that Staropramen was originally brewed in this city in 1896.
The commercial is part of Staropramen’s marketing campaign aimed at this brand’s promotion in Russia. The production of the world known beer was launched by SUN Interbrew at the Klin brewery in March 2003. The decision to start production of Staropramen in Russia is indicative of the company’s intention to expand its Russian “premium” brand portfolio that at the moment consists of Stella Artois, Sibirskaya Korona and Petr Veliky.
Staropramenis made of high quality malt, hops and spring water and packed in exclusively shaped dark green glass 0.5l bottles. In the future, Staropramen will be produced in 0.33l glass bottles and cans.
