Gazprom Headquarters today hosted a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Yury Evdokimov, Governor of the Murmansk Oblast.

The parties discussed the progress with the Agreement of Cooperation between Gazprom and the Murmansk Oblast.

The meeting addressed the issue of utilizing production capacities of the Murmansk Oblast industrial companies for the Shtokman field development.

Special emphasis was put on possible attraction of Gazprom for adjusting the regional gas supply scheme developed in 2000.

The Agreement of Cooperation between Gazprom and the Murmansk Oblast Government was signed on November 16, 2005, with regard of the development outlook for northern seas offshore and the Shtokman gas and condensate field.

To implement the Agreement, the parties set up a Working Group comprised of representatives of Gazprom and the Murmansk regional authorities.

At present, Gazprom is not supplying natural gas to the region.
