The Board of Directors’ meeting is underway at the Gazprom Headquarters.

The Board took note of the information on energy saving technology development and introduction into the Gazprom technological processes and tasked the Company’s Management Committee with continuing the work in that area.

Gazprom pursues a targeted energy conservation policy in all of its business activity sectors.

Energy saving technologies are introduced by Gazprom based on the Gazprom Energy Conservation Concept for 2001 through 2010 and corporate energy conservation programs.

Between 2002 and 2006 Gazprom’s gas production and transmission companies saved 13.1 bcm of gas, 1.6 bln kWh of electricity and 703.9 thousand Gcal of thermal power through the introduction of energy saving technologies.

Gazprom has developed a draft Gazprom Energy Conservation Program for 2007 through 2010.
