According to Yuri Solovyev, general director of Severstal-Mebel, Galaktika IT system was created specifically for Russian industrial companies. It allows to automate information flows in all areas of company's activity. The system already has been implemented and used by other furniture making companies in Vologda region. It's the best system of its kind in terms of value for money. Galaktika allows to not only dramatically increase the efficiency of production but also cut down production expenses due to its multifunctional ability.

From the middle of March 2002, the company was able to automate bookkeeping and warehouse accounting. Presently, automation of calculating cost price and tax accounting is underway.

The new system will also manage the use of material resources in manufacturing, conduct technical and economical planning, which will allow to control the flows of material and financial resources, and orders. With the implementation of the new module, the system will allow to trace all stages of implementing orders, do more precise planning of procurement of materials and parts, better use company's capacities and human resources.
