Samara branch of IDGC OF Volga, PJSC is ready for winter

A special commission set to verify preparedness of power facilities for operations during autumn and winter season 2016/2017 completed its inspection at Samara DG, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group). As a result of the activities the certificate was issued confirming the fulfillment by the Company a broad range of activities necessary for the successful operations amid peak loads during autumn-winter period and ensuring reliable power supply to consumers.

 Samara Distribution Grids’ readiness was inspected by the Commission consisting of representatives of Middle-Volga Directorate of the Federal Environmental, Engineering & Nuclear Supervision Agency, Central Office of EMERCOM of Russia for the Samara region, Saratov RDU (branch of SO UES, JSC), heads of various sectors and services of operational and technical unit of IDGC of Volga, PJSC and Samara Distribution Grids.

Certificating of readiness preceded by great work of power engineers to implement the planned investment program, repair and maintenance programs for Distribution Grid Complex of the Samara region. The diagnostics and repair of substations equipment, cleaning of power transmission line corridors, replacement of defective insulators, cables and ground wires, testing the functionality of ice melting systems were performed as part of preparation for operations during the autumn-winter period. Performed the planned main volume of new construction, reequipment and reconstruction of existing electrical power facilities. Backup materials and equipment reserve was beefed out as prescribed by the relevant standards and regulations. Additionally conducted emergency drills, training and certification of the personnel.

The 8 mobile teams, equipped with personal and collective protective equipment, protective clothing and special devices, 282 units of motor vehicles and special-purpose machinery as well as 42 back-up power sources (BUPS) are available to prevent and control the emergency situations on the power grid facilities of the region during the season of maximum loads in the branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC.

It should be noted that all necessary work carried out by power workers on time and in full.
