SMS-Demag, which is a leading supplier of metallurgical equipment in Europe, will present innovative ideas for hot rolling mills reconstruction, rolling mills automation systems and the latest developments in rolled steel and coated steel equipment, such as galvanizing lines.

After the presentation SMS-Demag will take part in a discussion of know-how with Severstal technology experts. This is the second presentation of SMS-Demag at Severstal. The first one was held in December of 2001. German company is interested in working with Severstal on programs of technical upgrading and a large scale project of building a galvanizing line to produce hot dip zinc coated product for the automotive industry. The joint plant, named Severgal, was created by Arcelor and Severstal in Aril 2002.

Severstal has cooperated with ? SMS-Demag in a number of projects. For example, this company was a supplier of hydropressing equipment for cold rolling Mill 1700.
