In 2000 heat production totaled 69.1 million Gcalh. The company plans to increase output to 75.5 million Gcalh this year. There are two reasons for the production growth in 2001: a growing number of customers in Moscow and Moscow region and increasing heat consumption. In addition, there is an expected drop in ambient temperatures in the next heating season.
Therefore, AO MOSENERGO plans an increase not only in production but also in sales. In 2000 AO MOSENERGO sold 64.1 million Gcalh. In 2001 the energy producer intends to sell 69.7 million Gcalh. In 2000 AO MOSENERGO invested over six billion rubles to modernize its production facilities.
"The work AO MOSENERGO has carried out, as well as the understanding and assistance of the Moscow and Moscow region authorities, have enabled us to satisfy demand for heat in Moscow and the Moscow region with good conditions and sufficient fuel reserves," said AO MOSENERGO Managing Director Alexander Remezov.
