Aeroflot-Russian Airlines operating results for October and ten months of 2003 have been summed up.
In October Aeroflot carried 507,400 passengers (including 7,300 passengers of charter flights) and 11,400 tons of post and freight. There were made 1.624 billion passenger-kilometers and 208.7mln ton-kilometers. Operating volumes have increased in comparison with the last year: according to passenger-kilometers – by 9.7%, according to carriage of passengers – by 14.2%, according to post carriage – by 6.5%.
Passenger seats’ occupation rate amounted to 72.3% and exceeded the last year rate by 5.3%. Percentage of enplaned traffic exceeded the last year level by 2.2% and amounted to 59.1%. They have flown in the aircraft fleet on the whole by 0.5% hours more than last year. The average daily flight time per a properly functioning plane amounted to 10.1 hours, that is by 0.1 hour more than in 2002.
During ten monthsthere were carried 4.967mln passengers and 91,300 tons of post and freight; there were made 15.329 billion passenger-kilometers and 1.865 billion ton-kilometers. Operating volumes have increased in comparison with the last year according to all the indicators: according to passenger-kilometers – by 2%, according to ton-kilometers – by 3.4%, according to carriage of passengers – by 5.9%, according to post carriage – by 1.4%, according to freight carriage – by 3.4%.
Percentage of enplaned traffic exceeded the last year level by 0.1% and amounted to 56.5%. Passenger seats’ occupation rate remained the same and amounted to 69.3%
They have flown in the aircraft fleet on the whole by 1.5% hours more than in 2002. The average daily flight time per a properly functioning plane amounted to 10 hours (vs. 9.6 hours in 2002).
According to Aeroflot Director General Valery Okulov, the airline company exceeds the main rates of last year and on the whole operates in accordance with the production plan for the current year. “In the conditions of autumn reduction of demand for air carriages, the production indicators of October and ten months show positive dynamics”, Mr. Okulov stressed.
