Sibirtelecom ranked seventh in terms of information transparency of Russia's largest companies

Standard & Poor's rating agency conducted a transparency study of the 42 largest companies in Russia, which account for 98 percent of the entire market.  The study is based entirely on public information: annual financial statements of the companies under review, reports prepared for regulatory agencies and corporate websites.  The quality of information disclosed has been studied based on three main criteria: ownership structure and investor relations, financial and production-related data, as well as the composition and work of the board of directors and top management.

The report states that OJSC Sibirtelecom rates seventh on the nationwide transparency scale.  The company's high rating is expected to provide new impetus for concerted action in the crucial sphere of corporate information disclosure.
