A part of implementing the program for service maintenance of outdoor lighting networks planned for 2016, employees of the Outdoor Lighting Service Department of Orenburgenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies) replaced 663 lighting fixtures and two control cabinets, installed over 5 kilometers of self-supported insulated wires to replace old-type bare wires, and replaced 40 pylons of overhead transmission lines. Besides, 276 supports of standing-type lamps and 157 control cabinets were put to order. Over a period of nine months, power engineers also replaced 3,317 blown light bulbs.
Employees of the Outdoor Lighting Service Department are also responsible for turning on and off the street lighting in the city. These daily operations are based on a timetable prepared by Orenburg City Administration. The time schedule of energizing the outdoor lighting networks is adjusted every tree days.
