In late September 2013, Factory ¹ 14 owned by the Aikhal Mining and Concentration Mill, which is a business unit of ALROSA, recovered a diamond 235.16 carats in size.

The diamond was brought to grass from the depths of the Yubileynaya (Jubilee) Diamond Pipe. Its dimensions are 42.0 x 26.0 x 28.0 mm. The crystal is transparent, with a yellow hue, there are small graphite-sulfide inclusions in its periphery. According to expert estimation, this gem-quality diamond (Cleavage Dark 4C category) may be valued at $1.5-2 mln. Thanks to the technological arrangements undertaken by ALROSA, the company managed to improve diamond safety and reduce the number of affected gems. The integrity of this particular diamond is a testimonial to the well-established workmanship of miners and dressers and a high level of technological equipment.
