Rosneft Oil Company and Tyumen Region, within the framework of the XXIII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, signed the agreement on cooperation and additional agreement for support of social projects.
The document was signed by Igor Sechin, Chief Executive Officer of Rosneft Oil Company, and Alexander Moor, the Governor of Tyumen Region.
The Agreement is aimed at the development of the mineral base of the region and creation of favorable conditions for material and financial support of projects.
One of the key areas of cooperation will be the development of the HR and scientific and technical potential of Tyumen region and interaction in creation of large industrial clusters in the region. Namely, the parties agreed to provide support for development of the production, scientific and educational, innovational and organizational cooperation of participants of these projects. Cooperation in the field of environmental protection will be another area of cooperation. Under the agreement Rosneft also confirmed its commitment to reliable supply of high quality oil products for the consumers in the Region.
Under the conditions of the additional agreement the Company will support the development social infrastructure of Tyumen region including the health, educational institutions, orphan homes, public organizations of indigenous minorities of the North, disabled, veterans of the Great Patriotic War and veterans of the oil industry.

The previous Cooperation Agreement was signed between Rosneft and Tyumen Region Government in December 2013.
Rosneft implements a number of prospective projects in the region in oil and gas exploration and production sphere. Major subsidiaries of Rosneft such as RN-Uvatneftegaz, Tyumenneftegaz and Sorovskneft operate in the south of Tyumen region.
