IDGC of the North-West having received a certificate of preparedness for operation during the autumn-and-winter season

IDGC of the North-West, JSC (subsidiary company of IDGC of the Russian Grids, JSC) has successfully passed the check for preparedness under the conditions of winter peak loads.

Following the outcome of work of the interdepartmental commission including representatives of the Ministry of Energy, Rostekhnadzor, EMERCOM, Rosseti, JSC and SO of UES, JSC, the electric power grid company received a certificate and statement of preparedness for the winter, signed unconditionally.  

The certificate of preparedness was handed over to General Director of IDGC of the North-West Alexander Letyagin by Chairman of the Commission, Acting Director of the Department for Operational Control and Management in Electric Power Industry of the RF Ministry of Energy Alexey Korshunov.

Chairman of the Commission thanked the power industry specialists for the work performed and emphasized the high level of the Company’s personnel training.

IDGC of the North-West has repaired 8,892 km of overhead and cable lines, 1,596 6-20 kV substations and commissioned 67 MVA of transformer capacities.  The scope of forest corridors clearing and expansion has exceeded 20 thousand ha. The emergency reserve has been provided for in full with 36 mobile divisions continuously prepared to assist their colleagues in the branches and neighbor distribution grid companies.  Within a region, prompt recovery of power supply will be ensured by, in total, 65 emergency recovery teams with manpower equal to 389 persons, having at their disposal 142 machinery units. 184 backup power supply units are ready for operation.

With seven branches of the company, joint training drills has taken place with participation of power industry specialists, territorial bodies of EMERCOM, workers of the housing and utility sector and representatives of administration.
