The OAO LUKOIL Press Service would like to announce that false profiles (accounts) have recently been registered in the LinkedIn social network. The profiles, sending out fraudulent newsletters, are allegedly registered in the name of one of the company’s vice-presidents.

In order to prevent possible unwanted consequences, the Press Service urges users of LinkedIn and other social networks to be wary of emails sent to them from addresses other than OAO LUKOIL corporate mail and recommends that such emails should be checked directly with the company for reliability.

The Press Service would like to note that neither OAO LUKOIL, nor its managers ever use social networks for business communication.
