The report by Mr. Pavel Livinsky, Rosseti's CEO, became one of the central speeches at the meeting of the Governmental Commission on Power Supply Security (of the federal headquarters) on preparation of the power industry facilities and the utilities facilities of the Southern Federal District to the 2019/2020 heating season under the supervision of Mr. Alexander Novak, Russian Energy Minister.
The head of the power grid holding dwelled on the progress of winterization in Rosseti's southern enterprises and emphasized that the annual equipment maintenance and repairs plan has been almost 70% fulfilled by that time, in his report.
"We are going to finalize work by the end of September", said Pavel Livinskiy, noting that the maintenance and repairs program exceeded RUB 6.14 billion in 2019.
"As compared with 2018, it increased by RUB 2 billion. The physical scope of work on the main nomenclature items also exceeds the 2018 indicators", reported Rosseti's CEO.
The emergency pool of equipment and materials are 100% complete in Rosseti PJSC subsidiaries and affiliates in the Southern Federal District. Backup power sources of 55.3 MW total capacity are available to the company's power grids 173 test ice melting operations are to be conducted in power grids as part of preparation to the autumn/winter period, starting from August 20, 2019.
Mr. Pavel Livinskiy also drew attention to the trend towards steady reduction in the number of process violations in the 110 kV grid in his report. "If we compare the deliverables of the first half-years this indicator dropped by 33% in 2016 on 2019 and by 4% on 2018. We also notice 20% and 34% reduction in SAIFI/SAIDI reliability indices, respectively, for 5 months of the current year", Rosseti's CEO noted.
