In 2002, AO MOSENERGO plans to increase electricity production by 3 percent, Vitaly Kuzmin, Deputy General Director of AO MOSENERGO, said today at a Web-conference. The company will produce 55 billion kilowatts/hour this year. Last year the company produced five percent more electricity than in 1999. Due to increased power consumption, AO MOSENERGO is actively upgrading production capabilities. In 2000 the company put into operation additional units at Zagorsk power station (GAES), power station No. 22 and other electric power stations. AO MOSENERGO also continues the modernization of its production capabilities. The company has allocated approximately 6 billion rubles for this purpose.
