Khanty-Mansiysk. On Monday, UTair (UTair Aviation JSC) completed the registration of participants in an open tender for the supply (leasing) of five turboprop regional planes. Envelopes with submitted applications for the tender were opened at a meeting of the tender commission on November 24. The tender’s participants are five companies from the CIS and countries outside the CIS, i.e. the Chkalov aircraft manufacturing association based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan (supplies Il-114 planes), the Kharkov aircraft manufacturing association (supplies An-140 planes), Canadian Bombardier (DASH-8), the Irish leasing company Magellan and French ATR (ATR-42). The tender commission will verify the correspondence of technical parameters specified in applications to the tender requirements before December 10. After that, the tender’s participants will be asked to provide their financial estimates. UTair is the world’s largest helicopter operator and one of the largest passenger carriers in Russia It operates a total of 294 aircraft.
