In the first quarter of 2001, AO MOSENERGO collected 100.6 percent of payments. Of this, 97.7 percent of payments were collected in cash. In April, the company's sales increased, reaching 104 percent, Aleksandr Remezov, general director of AO MOSENERGO said today at a web-conference.
According to Remezov, this is a result of moves that were made by the company, including giving up mutual crediting, taking a tough stance on delinquent debtors and switching to budgeting.
In the first quarter, due to better collection of payments for heat and electric energy, the company was able to pay for gas at 123 percent.
