Today, the MTU-Intel Company (by the trademark of tochka.ru ), leader Internet operator of Russia, and Public Joint Stock Company Moscow City Telephone Network (MGTS), the capital-city's basic wire communications operator, are making New Year presents to their customers.
From 1 December 2003, for the customers decided to integrate their offices into one computer network based on the VPN technology, the subscriber fee per line interconnected into the corporate network of their company will be US$ 90.- only; the network will provide for a 5 Gb traffic volume. The network operating charge regardless of the channels number, will be US$70.-
During the New Year holidays (December '03-January '04), the Company will offer a 50% discount in the event of 8-channel interconnection and over, and thereby the one-site interconnection fee will be US$200.-
A free Internet interconnection as per "Business", "Provider's" and "Operator's" tariffs is yet another handsel to the subscribers.
In addition, during the New Year action, the interconnection of channels based on the VPN technology and that made pursuant to other tariff plans of the Tochka.ru Company could be paid by corporate customers under a 3-month installment scheme. The action will last until 31 January 2004.
"Public Joint Stock Company Moscow City Telephone Network has made a sizable investment in the metropolitan broadband data network construction project. Its full-scale technical implementation is already completed. Thus, by virtue of the PJSC MGTS effort a forward-looking advanced telecommunications infrastructure has been created in Moscow. The action which is announced today is the first among the variety of the marketing programs being developed by PJSC MGTS for its customers, which will place the Company into strong positions in the telecommunications value-added services market", Mr. Dmitriy Kostachev, Director of the Company's Data Network Department, stressed.
"Today, most of the medium- and small-size business enterprises are in an extreme need of corporate networks. We feel hopeful that such a considerable reduction in the "Offices Corporate Networking" service interconnection fee will attract their attention and therethrough will enlarge the scope of our clientele", Mr. Nikolai Zakharov, MTU-Intel Commercial Director, noted. "And those intending to install a high-speed Internet access link in the immediate future should not let this splendid opportunity of free interconnection slip."
