In the territory of the Chuvash Republic, a joint command-and-staff training exercise of power engineers of "Rosseti Volga" branch (brand of PJSC "IDGC of Volga") - "Chuvashenergo", with authorities and emergency response services was held. Specialists practiced actions in case of violation of power supply to consumers in the Chuvash Republic in conditions of low outdoor temperatures.

According to one of the introductory exercises, according to the meteorological service in Chuvashia, the north-east wind increased to 20 m/s and the air temperature dropped to - 35 ° C. In conditions of extremely low outdoor temperatures, a technological disruption occurred, as a result of which about 24.5 thousand residents and 61 socially significant objects of Novoyuzhny district of Cheboksary city remained without power supply.

For the elimination of damage, operational mobile and repair teams were sent, and special equipment was also involved. At the time of emergency, consumers were powered by backup circuits. As a result of competent and prompt actions of power engineers, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia and local authorities in the Chuvash Republic, the simulated accident was promptly eliminated.

The completed exercises confirmed the readiness of the forces and means of "Chuvashenergo" branch to promptly eliminate possible emergency situations at the objects of distribution grid complex in the upcoming autumn-winter period. Regular joint command and staff training with the regional Department of EMERCOM, executive authorities and local government of Chuvashia, enterprises of housing and communal services makes it possible to achieve coherence in eliminating the consequences of emergency situations at energy facilities, and also makes it possible to improve the complex of preventive and operational recovery measures.
