IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies) summarized the results of the repair program for 9 months of 2016. The scheduled activities were carried out in accordance with the approved plans.

In January–September of the current year, the power engineers repaired 17,984.6 km of transmission lines with voltage of 0.4–220 kV. In the course of these works, 15,757 pylons, 127,738 insulators and about 1,180 km of wires of different voltage classes were replaced. The complex repair of 479 substations of 35–220 kV, 2,173 power transformers and autotransformers of 35–220 kV, 6,629 transformer substations of 6–10/0.4 kV was performed.

The overhead line routes were actively cleared and expanded. Clearing was performed in the forest corridors with total area of2,858 hectares, and the expansion was performed in the area of1,890 hectares. The works were carried out using mulching machines. Carrying out of repair in accordance with the approved plans and quality standards allowed to prepare the power grid of IDGC of Volga, PJSC to the uninterrupted power supply of consumers in autumn and winter period of 2016–2017. The degree of readiness of the company was assessed by the Commission, consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the Government Commission on the security of power supply, Rostekhnadzor, Rosseti, PJSC, System Operator of the Unified Power System of the EMERCOM of Russia, the Ministry of Industry and Energy of the Saratov region. Following the results of activities, the company obtained Certificate of Preparedness for 2016–2017 Autumn and Winter Operations.
