Chuvashenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies), pursues its project of construction of 110 kV Kommunalnaya outdoor switchgear and 110/10 kV Kommunalnaya substation launched in 2014.

Since the beginning of the construction, the works for foundation for steel structures, installation and commissioning of equipment of six cells in the 110 kV outdoor switchgear were carried out. In addition, the installation of modular building of operations control room, two auxiliary transformers 6/0.4 kV with capacity of 250 kVA, as well as four light towers combined with lightning rod was performed. The system of relay protection and automation in the operations control room was installed. The network of water supply and sewerage was laid.

This year, the installation of equipment of four cells at 110 kV outdoor switchgear was completed. During the remaining time, the works on installation of cable trays and laying cables, commissioning of outdoor switchgear equipment, installation and commissioning of telecontrol system, automated measuring and information system for electric power fiscal accounting and communications, burglar alarms and CCTV monitoring, and site improvements will be carried out.

Completion of the construction of 110 kV Kommunalnaya switchgear is scheduled to December 20, 2016. This new power facility will serve a new Southwest residential district of the Chuvash capital and boost reliability of power supplies to the existing consumers.
