Saratov Distribution Grids, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC, summed up the results of its repair program in the 3rd quarter of the current year.

For the first nine months of 2016, 1,340.9 km of transmission lines with voltage of 35–110 kV and 2,010.2 km of distribution grids with voltage 0.4–10 kV were repaired. During repairs, 23,851 insulators, 1,430 pylons, and 175.7 km of wire were replaced. Repairs were carried out on 593 power transformers and autotransformers, 122 substations with voltage of 35–220 kV, 1,295 transformer substations with voltage of 6–10/0.4 kV.

The most careful attention was paid to clearing and expansion of transmission line routes. The clearing was carried out over an area of458.6 ha, while the expansion area was 649.5 ha. The works were carried out using mulching machines.

Timely and high quality repairs are one of the most important conditions for stable operation of the power grid and uninterrupted power supply to consumers. The effectiveness of the performed work has been evaluated and confirmed by a special committee of representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Energy of the Saratov region, Federal Service of Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision (Rostekhnadzor), EMERCOM of Russia in the Saratov region, Saratov RDU (distribution zone), a branch of SO UES, JSC. As a result, Saratov Distribution Grids, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC, obtained the Certificate confirming its readiness for operations during the autumn and winter season.
