SurgutNIPIneft and the Company’s gas processing specialists have combined their efforts to conduct a feasibility study for construction of new technological facilities at Surgutneftegas Gas Processing Division.
Because of Gas Processing Unit No3 (GPU-3), equipped with turbine expander and planned for commissioning in 2004, annual output of the Company’s Gas Processing Subdivision will raise up to 6-7 bcm. This will allow for extra 3 bcm of petroleum gas, delivered from Lyantorskoye oil field, to be accepted for processing.
Specialists estimate that if implemented, the GPU-3 Project will annually add 2.911 bcm of residue gas, 53,000 tons of propane-butane gas and 32,000 of compressed process stable gasoline.
Construction cost of the GPU third phase is estimated at USD250-300 million. The payback period of the investments is 3 years.
