Energy of the branch "Rosseti Volga" (brand of PJSC "MRSK Volga") - "Ulyanovsky Networks" during the implementation of the investment program not only carry out full-scale complex reconstruction of energy facilities, but also update individual units of resource and obsolete equipment.
In 2019, as part of the program of replacement of single equipment of energy, voltage transformers were installed at 110 kV substations "Old Kulatka" and "Barysh." The "Barysh" instrument rack also has 35 kV current transformers, which are necessary for accounting of transmitted electric power. A lot of work was done at the Lesnaya substation, where the energy industry installed six high-voltage inputs of 110 kV transformers. An important role in improving the reliability of large energy facilities is to replace the surge arresters with overvoltage limiters designed to protect the equipment of power supply systems from switching and lightning overvoltage. At the substations "October," Barysh, "Cargino," Old Green "there are 15 pieces of equipment. Overvoltage limiters, in contrast to surge arresters, have unlimited number of actuations, due to which they are characterized by high wear resistance and reliability. Also this year in the village of Undora "Ulyanovsky networks" replaced 18 power transformers with 10/0.4 kV KTP with TMG type transformers. The new transformers are manufactured in a sealed design, excluding contact of transformer oil with the environment, and therefore its oxidation and moistening.
Transformer oil does not change its properties during the whole service life of the equipment, retains high electrical strength of transformer insulation, which significantly simplifies the process of their operation and maintenance. In addition, the safety of the object is increased, as in order to locate the consequences of accidents related to transformer damage, tanks of transformers of TMG series are equipped with special safety devices, which operate at sharp increase of overpressure. Replacement of single equipment will increase reliability and safety of power facilities, as well as quality of information transmission, including on the state of electrical equipment, operating modes and technological irregularities in networks.
