OMSK, January 9, 2003 – A skating rink, once popular in Omsk city, resumed its work on Christmas Eve. SUN Interbrew, well-known for its beer brands “Sibirskaya Korona”, “Klinskoye”and “Tolstiak”, has borne all the expenses to prepare the ice, add music and light effects, organize skates rentals, provide advertising and information support.

Omsk Mayor Yevgeny Belov, together with other citizens, took part in the Christmas skating celebrations devoted to the skating rink’s start up, and pointed out that mass skating had always been one of the most traditional winter fun activities in Russia, democratic pastime for both Russian tsars and ordinary people. “It is great that we, together with SUN Interbrew, are reviving this wonderful tradition”.

Following the Omsk event, and supported by brewing company SUN Interbrew, more skating rinks will be opened in other cities where SUN Interbrew’s breweries and sales centers are located. It will mark realization of the new – winter – stage of the social program “We Will Live Here!” aimed at betterment of the environment of the Russian citizens.
