Effective November 1, 2002 there will be a tariff hike for the following nine regional telecom operators run by OJSC Svyazinvest: OJSC Elektrosvyaz Republic of Kalmykia, OJSC Elektrosvyaz Republic of Adygeia, OJSC Sevosetinelektrosvyaz, OJSC Elektrosvyaz Kurgan Region, OJSC Tyumentelecom, OJSC Telephone and Telegraph Company of the Jewish Autonomous Region, Elektrosvyaz Ulyanov Region, Elektrosvyaz Orlov Region, Svyazinform, Astrakhan Region.

The respective decisions on tariff indexation were adopted by the Supervisory Board of the Anti-Monopoly Ministry of the Russian Federation were passed at meetings held on October 9 and 16, 2002.
