Specialists of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies) carried out diagnostics of two 35 kV cable lines KF-1 and KF-2 with cross-linked polyethylene insulation in Samara. These cable lines connecting Samara Hydraulic Power Plant and 110/35/6 kV Farada substation provide power supply of consumers in the Zheleznodorozhny district of the city. Each of them has actual length of 5,440 meters. The lines are built using domestically produced cable.
Diagnostics was carried out using mobile laboratory OWTS – 150. Using of frequency discharge method enables to early reveal the defects in insulation and predict trouble-free performance period prior to malfunction. According to test results, KF-1 and KF-2 cable lines were recognized as operable. All branches of IDGC of Volga, PJSC operating cable power lines conduct monitoring of their technical condition. Similar works are regularly conducted at Saratov Distribution Grids, Samara Distribution Grids, Mordovenergo, Orenburgenergo and Penzaenergo.
