JSC Central Telegraph at InfoCom-2002 Exhibition

Moscow, Russia, October 22, 2002

InfoCom-2002 exhibition was open at Expocenter exposition center in Krasnaya Presnya street. In the framework of this exhibition JSC Central Telegraph together with Spivakov International Charity Fund and in cooperation with the Ministry of Telecommunication and Informatization organized a teleconference concert featuring young musicians from Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine. The performance was broadcast in the Internet at Central Telegraph's site WWW.CNT.RU with technical support provided by Algosoft, AVICON and Ericsson.

The concert of young exhibitioners of Spivakov ICF was one of the main events of the opening ceremonies. With the help of modern telecommunication technologies the First Ladies of Armenia (Bella Kocharyan) and Kyrgyzstan (Mayram Akaeva) introduced young musicians in on-line mode. The children who had arrived in Moscow specially with this purpose performed their small numbers at Expocenter stage.

Mrs. Kocharyan, the First Lady of Armenia, from Erevan introduced a trio of boy vocalists (Vagan Arutyunyan, Arman Nikolyan, Albert Saroyan). Mrs. Akaeva, the First lady of Kyrgyzstan, in her direct address from Bishkek greeted the participants of the exhibition and introduced a young musician Azamat Otunchiev, who performed a solo on a Kyrgyz national instrument kyl-kayak (a fiddlestick kind of a komuz). Ukraine was represented by Vladislav Luchenko (violin).

Vladimir Spivakov from Luxembourg warmly greeted organizers and participants of the exhibition and introduced to the guests of Expocenter Andrey Rozendent, a young musician and Spivakov ICF exhibitioner, who represented Russia at this event.

After the introduction young musicians performed a joint musical number, a piece on the theme of Yesterday by The Beatles.

"This action demonstrated not just technical capabilities of informational communication but also the unity of our countries in such a bright and noble act as the support of talented children, - said Vladimir Spivakov. - All children who appeared today between the guests are really very talented and have been already received recognition from the public. With a light heart we consider them national honor of our countries. However, there are a lot of children who need our help. Our main task is to find them, to provide them with all possible assistance and to help to become professionals".
