Nizhnekamskneftekhim Inc upgrading biologic treatment facility

A biologic treatment facility of Nizhnekamskneftekhim Inc is a sophisticated complex for treating the waste from industrial enterprises and the City. Occupying 75 hectares, it can treat up to 259 000 m 3 of waste water in 24 hours. Notwithstanding the fact that the complex was put into operation as far back as 1966, its technological arrangement makes it possible to bring the efficiency of treatment to 98%. Following its environmental policy, Nizhnekamskneftekhim Inc changed the waste oxidizing process, sealed presettling tanks, put into service new biological and sand-gravel filters.

In years, the complex accumulated much solid waste filtered out in treatment. Management of Nizhnekamskneftekhim Inc made a decision to construct a special unit to reprocess oil-slime which subsequently to be used for soil recultivation.
