During January 2004, oil production in OJSC “Surgutneftegas” reached 4 mln. 822 thousand tons against 4 mln. 419 thousand tons extracted over the same period of the previous year (a 9% increase).

Gas production amounted to 1,289 mln. cubic meters against 1,210 mln. cubic meters produced over the same period of 2003 (a 6.5% increase).

Drilling totaled 249,429 meters against 245,381 meters drilled during January 2003. Exploratory drilling amounted to 21,059 meters against  20,456 meters in January 2003.

The Company commissioned 60 new wells.
