More than 300 delegates – managers of AO MOSENERGO branches, representatives from RAO UES, Tsentrenergo, and the Ministry of Energy – attended the team meeting. AO MOSENERGO summarized last year results and outlined plans for the future.
Arkady Yevstafyev, AO MOSENERGO general director, positively assessed the company's operations in 2002. According to Yevstafyev, AO MOSENERGO fulfilled one of its most important objectives by creating required fuel reserves for its power stations. Fuel reserves are being replenished in accordance with preset targets. The company ensures high-quality power supply in the Moscow region from the very start of the heating season, including periods of very low temperatures. In December–January, air temperatures reached –20–25°?, however, the company managed to maintain reliable and uninterrupted heat and electricity supply for its consumers.
In 2003, AO MOSENERGO will continue reforms, Yevstafyev said. The main purpose is to create a competitive, efficient and viable power system.
