St PETERSBURG, February 19, 2003 – A presentation of new beer, Piterskoye, will take place on February 23, 2003, at one of the largest and most popular city clubs. The new brand has been sold in Russia’s beer capital since last weekend.
Piterskoye is produced by Bavaria, a brewery within the SUN Interbrew group of companies, and will be sold exclusively in St Petersburg. The new beer is targeted at energetic and confident citizens of Petersburg, keeping up with the times and ardent enthusiasts of their native city and its modern look. The new beer label and Piterskoye marketing campaign attempt to reproduce the atmosphere and dynamics of a big city.
Piterskoye is a light beer brewed according to a classic recipe out of local malt, hops and water. It has 11% gravity, 4.1% alcohol content and the shelf life of 90 days. Piterskoye is a core brand.
In the year of the 300th anniversary of the city, it is the second present Bavaria makes to the citizens of St Petersburg: another local brand, premium beer Petr Veliky, has been recently launched on the market. Expansion of Bavaria’s brand portfolio marks the beginning of a new stage in the brewery’s history and development, and makes the oldest brewery one of the leading producers of high quality local beer brands in Russia.
