The implementation of the program for renovation of worn-out equipment at electric distribution grid facilities will focus on innovations, said Nikolay Shvets, Director General of JSC IDGC Holding, at the Altai Transformer Works in the scope of a working visit across Siberian regions.
He says that the worn-out equipment renovation program is currently extensively developed and will be brought forward to the Russian Government in May 2010.
The program value is estimated at around 2.85 trillion rubles. The program will fully capture capabilities of Russian industrial businesses.
“We expect the share of domestic equipment to account for around 90 percent,” said Nikolay Shvets.
“Actively innovating vendors will be given preference. Such businesses as the Altai Transformer Works has virtually already launched an energy saving program as its deployment in many respects depends on availability of advanced energy efficient equipment at electric distribution grid facilities that we have been shown here,” said the Director General of IDGC Holding.
