Moscow. 13 January 2006. The Siberian energy companies are working hard to ensure reliable power supply to customers despite the unusually low temperatures in the region. In the Republic of Khakassia, Krasnoyarsk Kray, Omsk Region, Tomsk Region, and Kemerovo Region, the average daily air temperatures fell as low as minus 45-50 ?° .
All energy companies of RAO "UES of Russia" located in the Siberian Federal District are operating in an emergency response mode, taking steps to meet the growing energy consumption. The companies' emergency response teams equipped with off-road vehicles are on special duty. Additional checks are performed to ensure that technical security equipment, fire alarm systems, and telecommunication systems are in order.
Emergency response centers are working at all regional energy companies of RAO "UES of Russia" in Siberia with officers on duty 24 hours a day. The emergency response centers are working in close coordination with the Civil Defence and Emergencies authorities of the Siberian Federal District, and the municipal utility companies.
