The Moscow "Manager of the Year" contest was held by the International Academy of Management and the Free Economic Society of Russia with the support of the Government of Moscow. Over 200 leaders of manufacturing enterprises and organizations representing different fields of industry, construction, trade, education, culture, and other activities took part in the Moscow contest.
The jury under the chairmanship of Mr. Valeriy Shantsev, Vice-Mayor of Moscow, comprised high-ranking Moscow Government officials, managers of various businesses, and lead scientists. Mr. Yuriy Roslyak, Vice-Premier of the Government of Moscow, presented the awards to the winners.
The first such contest took place in 1997 on the occasion of the 850th anniversary of the foundation of Moscow. The Moscow "Manager of the Year" contest aims to identify the best and top-efficient representatives of the managerial staff machinery, and to summarize and generalize efficacious and operative management techniques. |
