A final stage of the talks between Gazprom and the companies included in the short-list of bidders for the first phase of the Shtokman project has begun today at Gazprom’s Headquarters.
Alexey Miller, Chairman of Gazprom’s Management Committee held meetings with Helge Lund, President & Chief Executive Officer of Statoil and David O'Reilly, Chairman of the Board of Directors & Chief Executive Officer of Chevron Corporation.
The parties discussed existing bids for the Shtokman project. The bidders have a chance to present better packages until the end of this week.

Gazprom has compiled a short-list of the companies – potential partners in the first stage of the Shtokman gas condensate field development project, which covers the construction of a natural gas liquefaction plant. The selected bidders include Statoil (Norway), Total (France), Chevron (USA), Hydro (Norway) and ConocoPhillips (USA). The talks will end up with Gazprom identifying two or three companies that will form a Consortium for the Shtokman project implementation.
