Moscow, 5 December 2005. The exhibition "From GOELRO Plan To Present Day" organized by RAO "UES of Russia" opens tomorrow at the Federation Council of Russia.
Visitors will see an exposition of 30 booths presenting information on the history of the GOELRO Plan and the financial and operating performance highlights of RAO "UES of Russia", as well as data on the electricity reform in Russia—the timeframe, phases, milestones of the reform, the target industry structure, strategic priorities of the reform, the key laws and regulations governing the sector transformation, etc.
The central point of the exhibition is the section devoted to issues of reliability of the UES of Russia. There, visitors will be able to get detailed information about the reliability elements and arrangements in place, as well as the implementation phases of the "Programme of Actions to Increase Reliability of the UES of Russia" adopted by the Management Board of RAO "UES of Russia" on 29 August 2005.
The exhibition will also feature photos of the modern power generation facilities and archive materials relating to the history of the GOELRO Plan.
